Periocular Skin Cancers (Basal Cell/Squamous Cell Carcinoma)
Skin Cancers Around The Eye
For skin cancers around the eye, delicate excision of the lesion with precise reconstruction with or without and possible MOHs surgery are the most common treatment plans. MOHs surgery is a specialized tissue sparing surgical technique used to treat skin cancer on the face. By removing and examining layers of the dermis the skin cancer can be removed while preserving delicate eyelid structures as well as minimize residual scarring on the face.
