Michele Daigle-Monteiro
Office Manager / Esthetician
Michele has over 25 years experience in the Ophthalmology field as well as 20 years working with Dr. Rizzuto. Michele oversees all operations in the office, while also managing the billing, getting preauthorizations for surgery, and assists Dr. Rizzuto in the operating room. Michele is the glue that keeps this team together, being amazingly friendly and smart, always happy and able to solve any problem posed.
Nidia Lopez
Office Coordinator / Medical Assistant
Nidia, a native of the Dominican Republic, immigrated to the States when she was five and loves being an American. She has been working in Patient care for over 15 years and has been working with Dr. Rizzuto for over 10 years. Nidia runs the clinical side of the office as she helps patients get checked into rooms, runs the scheduling for the office and orchestrates insurances. Nidia is the light in our office that is always smiling and happy to answer questions from patients or lend a helping hand.
Mary Kate Rizzuto
Patient Liaison
Mary Kate, our patient care liaison, is the traffic expert in the office, making sure that patient comfort and flow is perfect. She escorts people to their exam rooms, and does anything and everything to help get problems taken care of.
Megan Manocchia, RN, BSN
Aesthetic Nurse Specialist
Megan is a Registered Nurse and Newport, Rhode Island native with a passion for aesthetics. For over twenty years, she has delivered personal and professional care to patients in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and the Post/Peri Operative settings. In addition, Megan was a fitness instructor for twelve years with a concentration in indoor cycling. Megan is committed to enhancing the client’s natural beauty while prioritizing their safety and well-being. She looks forward to helping the team make patients look and feel their best.
Angela Marses
Executive Clinical Assistant
Angela is an undergraduate student at the University of Rhode Island, pursuing a degree in Molecular Neuroscience with minors in Leadership Studies and General Business. She works closely with Dr. Rizzuto and Paige, assisting in surgeries and providing clinical support during patient consultations. Angela is known for her compassion, attention to detail, and ability to help patients feel comfortable and cared for. She is deeply passionate about medicine and is excited to pursue medical school after graduation.
Paige Collins
Executive Clinical Assistant
Paige is an undergraduate student at the University of Rhode Island, pursuing a Molecular Neuroscience degree with minors in Biology and Spanish. As a medical assistant working closely with Dr. Rizzuto, she provides invaluable support during patient consultations and surgical procedures. Driven by a passion for medicine and a goal of becoming a Physician Assistant, she brings focus, empathy, and enthusiasm to every aspect of her role.
